AIS Technology are pleased to announce that customers can now benefit from the new BMS Supervisor software offered by Trend Controls. The new Supervisor software is called IQVISION, and is exclusively offered in Malta by AIS Technology Limited.
The successor to the pioneering 963 Supervisor, IQ Vision integrates Trend Controllers, third party smart systems and internet protocol devices into a centralised software platform. IQ Vision is designed to manage all sizes of buildings from single stand-alone sites to enterprise level, giving building owners and managers the ability to optimise their systems.
IQ Vision is a real-time user interface that enables users to get the very best from their BEMS, providing graphical information to standard internet browsers.
It boasts a diverse range of useful functions such as centralised data logging, archiving, alarming, tendering, master scheduling, system wide database management and integration with enterprise software applications – all of which can be used for highlighting and investigating energy use within buildings.
AIS Technology engineers, designers and developers have recently undergone extensive training on the new IQVISION software, further extending their existing multi-year relationship with Trend Controls.

Pioneering the Latest Technology
AIS Technology was the first company in Malta to introduce biometric authentication technology to the local market since its establishment 25 years ago. The mission of the company has always been to be the forerunner, the forward thinker, the go-to company for anything biometrics and security. Since then, AIS Technology has been actively and aggressively promoting and distributing biometric solutions nationwide to the SMEs.
Together with their corporate clients, AIS sees the value in the latest technology and continue to embrace it going forward.
Over many years, AIS Technology has extended their portfolio to include fingerprint and face recognition in office automation, workforce and security sectors. Due to their status as a pioneer biometrics supplier, AIS Technology clients do not see the company as just another reseller but as a company that they can consult with when it comes to the latest technology in biometrics and security.
“Biometrics technology in Malta has gained its momentum lately compared to a few years back because various industries have begun to realize the benefits of this technology in the workforce and security sectors,” according to Mr Darryl Schembri of AIS. “Many people want to move from manual to automation and biometrics like FingerTec provides them the smooth transition.

As the winter period kicks in, it's a good time to look at how technologies can be implemented to make a difference to overall operating efficiency. The winter months are a key period when energy efficiency and reduced costs can be achieved.
Well worth considering is the use of variable speed drives (VSDs), as the energy cost savings as a result of installing these devices can be significant. A centrifugal pump or fan running at 80 per cent speed consumes only half of the energy of one running at full speed. Variable speed drive installations generally lead to a Return on Investment (ROI) of a matter of months.
It is also possible to provide evidence of these savings. Under a range of environmental conditions - such as being on for one week and off the next - recorded energy values can automatically logged in the BEMS and then periodically uploaded to an online reporting system. Our solutions can automatically generate reports showing clear evidence of the financial justification and payback analysis of the investment.
